The story about Helen Kelly being refused to be allowed to use
medicianal cannabis has been around for a while, and is still news -
see this article from today: http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=11597352

Peter Dunne now says that the process needs review, but he still won't
reverse his decision, even though permission was granted in an earlier
    case.

We can help by signing the petition here: https://www.change.org/p/peter-dunne-permission-for-helen-kelly-to-use-a-cannabis-oil-product-to-help-control-her-pain-nausea

Dunne may be a bit of an idiot but...

Running a petition for an individual person's medical management? Insanity.

... and a typical case of treating a left wing elite as royalty.

Dunne is supposed to be the minister.
Obviously that bowtie is as tight as his grip on his department.

And Kelly followed her father into the world of communism and trade
unions no doubt making her a hero for little rich.
    And no-one else

If that was the case I may agree with you, but it seems that it is
    not.

... and a typical case of treating a left wing elite as royalty.
I don't think there is any evidence of Helen Kelly being supported
more than anyone else, or that Dunne has made his decision because of
her union position. Certainly she is well known, and articulate, so it
is perhaps not surprising that her cse has attracted publicity -
arguable less than would be the case for an ex-rugby player though. Do
you have any evidence of special treatment either by "the left" or by
"the right"? I don't think this is a partisan issue, its a
question of dealing compassionately with a person that is dying, and
whose remaining life will not be shortened by uusing a substance that
may well be reasonably discouraged for recreational use.

Can you indicate what other cases you had in mind in saying this is
    "typical"?

There was a well publicised case fairly recently where use of
marijuana was approved - wasn;t it a schoolboy who subsequently died -
not of marijuana of course. The decision was I think made by Dunne,
and there are other cases where people would like to use it but the
    process is too difficult.

Rich as is his wont is ignoring several of the pertinent facts in the Helen Kelly story. But it being how the marxist twat operates that's hardly surprising.

Now if their was a petition to get Helen Kelly to provide information
they've asked for I'd sign it like a shot. But though I hope Helen gets what she needs signing the petition I will not!

    Pooh

Once again you ignore pertinent facts Rich. Either because of your well
known lack of comprehension or blind political cant is hard to tell. However you are as always ignoring all the pertinent facts. Instead of blindly infesting this ng with more bullshit from the loopy left why don't you do
some further reading on the subject?
