Because he knows how many eggs are being incubated, and has a predictive statistical model of the number that will hatch.

Trouble is, in New Zealand most of the eggs that matter are being laid by inadequate turkeys. Little wonder, then, that they turn out to be addled.

Bay of Plenty under water, people living in cars and garages, Pike River, South
Canterbury Finance, immigration exceeding capacity to absorb it, backward infrastructure - and now, today's Prime Minster's advisor's report on New Zealand's continuing
deteriorating environment - the whole unedifying mess of it.

Simply hear Erin Brockovich for an impartial outsider's bull's eye strike at yet another in the growing catalogue of New Zealand's self-regarding, coochie-coo mis-management by a lacklustre coterie of Pontius Pilates:

You don't have to make this stuff up; it's right there staring back at you.

Believe it or not, this is the kind of New Zealand that the one-eyed complacent
will aver is "the envy of the world" the moment Moody's and their ilk [1] laud this country's all-too-evident mirage economy.

"What it means to be a Kiwi?" Really?

What's not to like for an investor? A little bit of New Zealand would
get well in most intelligent invetors portfolio. NZ has good
relationships with many of the global investment entities, although
the relationship was in a little danger when one of those firms
featured in the news for enabling tax dodging - unfortunate publicity
at the time but doing nothing but make soothing noises seems to have
settled things down - just use another firm. GDP per capita is fairly
low, but what little tehre is goes to the rentier class, so that's all
OK, and with low wages it is getting cheaper as a holiday or bolt-hole desintation - and capital gains are largely tax free with a little bit
of planning. Time to get in now before the locals wake up and stop
cheap sell offs to overseas investors.

    Yeah right.
George's so-called "predictive statistical model" failed him very badly.
It is based on politically-aligned wishful thinking, not statistics.
