National removed democracy from Cantrbury water - they were making the
    "wrong" decisions!
    Now we have: http://www.stuff.co.nz/environment/89159663/swimming-hole-on-canterburys-selwyn-river-reaches-record-low-and-nearly-stagnant

But then I suppose not many people that swim in a river donate to the
    National Party . . .

    Bring back democracy!

Yet even after Labour proves without any shade of doubt that they don't
believe in democracy you still blindly follow them Rich. Pure trolling trotskite hypocrisy.

You forget once again Labours record during it's time Rich.

Surely not with a party that does not use a fair democratic process to elect its members? The Green's are sexist enough to take gender into account.

What are you on about? All you have to do to belong to most parties is
apply! (although I gather that people that made donations to National
found that they had been counted as members at one time).

As for democracy, here's another comment on that aspect http://norightturn.blogspot.co.nz/2017/02/another-river-destroyed.html

Many will remember that when they first sacked the ECAN Board,
National promised to restore elected councillors in a couple of years
    - natuarally, they lied - and eventually only allowed a minority of
the Board to be elected to ensure that the plundering of the resource
    can continue.

    Look at
    http://maps.ecan.govt.nz/WaterQuality/

and click on the Coes Ford symbol - it says that the condition is
Poor, explained as "This grade is based on risk of faecal
contamination and water testing for faecal indicator bacteria."

Given the newspaper article, its fairly clear that there have been
excessive allocations of water - and that is confirmed by a Radio NZ
item on as I type this :

    http://www.radionz.co.nz/national/programmes/insight/audio/201832571/insight-rescuing-nz's-fresh-water

As always for National, there priority has been profits first, second,
and there is nothing left for third.

New Zealand is heading for a disaster in Canterbury water - led by the deliberately incompetent National. Our only solution is to vote them
    out.

What are YOU on about Rich. Allistar is talking about is electing
Leaders. NOT about joining the party Dumbo!

Coming from a blog that blindly supports Labour who are obviously not a democratic party as evidenced by the appointing of a union stooge due to loading the ballot process so a minority can have a 20% say in the 'vote'.

You know Rich if you really want to see what killing democracy does just
look at Labours standing in the polls since 2005 and you'll see it quite plainly.
