Coalition of losers policy that is. Seems Jacinta and the kids don't want to plant a billion trees after all :)

    Colour me surprised.
Its a very hard job planting trees, preparing the ground getting the
    seedlings and a gang together.
And when they're growing theres pruning so the timber will be knotless
and therefore a more marketable quality.
Of course you have to include thinning and culling out the unsuitably
    growing trees.
There are not a lot of spare bush gangs who turn the rejects into posts, strainers, angles, stays or poles.
And with the drug testing requirements for any-one in the bush...
that cuts your labour force way way back.
I spent some time crosscutting, peeling and, my favourite job, tractor
    driving

I prefer to think of them as townees.
    You know.
Experts right up to the town boundaries.
    And recovery tasks beyond

Well they do, but like so many poltical promises from all newly elected Governments they realise they had a monentary laspe of reason at the time. Never under estimate the stupidity of people in groups.

A draft proposal not yet put to Cabinet, with speculation only as to
what impact is intended from OIA involvement. A 'leak'of this nature
would have had National on a witch-hunt - the current government is
probably amused at the people making a fool of themselves over "fake
    news"
