This one has finally been released to Disc, after languishing in
obscurity since it's VHS release in the late 80s.

Essentially a British rip off of "Nightmare on Elm Street", with bits of "Hellraiser" thrown in.

A wealthy socialite is marrying a decorated navy officer, who fought in
the Falklands conflict. Unfortunately, since moving into their new house
she has been plagued with nightmares about her upcoming nuptuals and it
seems can pull people into her hellish dreams.

Something a couple of nosy newspaper reporters, played by Jimmy Nail and Timothy Spall of all people, from TVs "Auf Wiedersehn Pet", find to
their chagrin after trying to pester her for an exclusive story about
her war-hero boyfriend, and subsequently go missing.

Bit of a bizarre one, it's mostly played as a straight horror film,
though there's a slight comic element to it, courtesy of the buffoonery
of the 2 newspaper reporters, which doesn't really work. The disc from
Arrow has 2 cuts of the film, the directors version, which tones down
the comic element and gives it a spooky ending. And the original
theatrical version, which has the original ending, giving the film a bit
of a comic twist at the end, which I actually preffered.

Worth a watch, but that's about it.

I saw this when it was released and don’t remember a single thing about it.

Me neither. It merges in with all those other late eighties British horrors. PAPER
HOUSE and PAPER MASK and whatnot.

I have matured like a fine wine. Unlike these films.
