Currently banned from posting on Facebook for 3 days because one of my
posts apparently broke their "community guidelines".

    The post in question?

I posted a picture of a clothing shop in India named "Hitler" with the
caption "Shall we go shopping?" in the Alt.Horror group on there.

The shop in question can be seen in the following news article

    https://www.indiatoday.in/india/story/ahmedabad-man-names-shop-as-hitler-jew-community-cries-foul-114796-2012-08-30

So, it seems Facebooks automated censors deem posting images of the name
"adolf hitler" as hate speech now?

Doesn't seem any real way of appealing this decision, when I click on
the comments box on my news feed I get a message come up telling me im
banned. There is a button you can click that says "this is a mistake",
clicking which says they will review your recent activity, but so far
    nothing has come of it.

Seriously, is this how sanitised social media is becoming now they will
ban people just for posting images featuring a contentious name in it?

i once got suspended for commenting on a refugee story saying i hoped

    lol

There's something incredibly dystopian about Facebook's insistence that people can only say 'nice' things. Like all dystopian structures, there are negative consequences. The question is whether those consequences are deliberate or planned.

MySpace was indeed much better on reflection, the only reason I moved

    stuck with it longer.

The problem we have now is FB seems to be in cahoots with Google, Paypal

opposition to their platforms whenever anything new comes along to

I initially thought the same, but the AH FB group is mostly just us guys
and I've posted far FAR worse things in there without incident.

Plus I read somewhere that FB do have these automated bots that go
around looking for dodgy content, so unless you know of someone with a

I kept it for the same reason but it then occurred to me that if we didn't have Facebook we would drift apart naturally and never speak to each other again. Occasionally giving a 'like' or making a comment on a post isn't truly connecting with people.

They automatically remove images. You can imagine, lots of people will post the same 'memes' and it makes sense therefore to only host each image once. If something is deemed to go against their Community Standards, it's a simple matter of doing a lookup on the image.

Something very sinister is going on and nobody appears to care. News
stories keep popping up which beggar belief. I swear I read one the other

I deleted that shit. Just by having an account you are putting roughly $200 a year directly into Mark Z's pocket. I would participate for a cut of that.

    MySpace was better.

I would delete FB, but use it for keeping in touch with a number of
friends I don't get to see that often. Plus its good for finding out
about and organising meet ups at events, concerts and the like.

MySpace was indeed much better on reflection, the only reason I moved
was because I stopped getting email notifications about when people were
trying to get in contact or post stuff. Otherwise, would have probably
    stuck with it longer.

The problem we have now is FB seems to be in cahoots with Google, Paypal
and the other Internet giants, who seem bent on killing off any
opposition to their platforms whenever anything new comes along to
    challenge them.

The first few years at least my impression of my social life seemed to improve. Then it started to turn and I said fuck this shit.

The only downside is that me and Lesmond aren't friends anymore.

    Aw.

They clearly don't want you, sweety.

Fuck those queers and their 'liking' stuff. Join me on HATEBOOK where there are no secret groups - you can't even have any FRIENDS - and you're only allowed to post OFFENSIVE material or press the KILL YOURSELF button.

Where do I sign up for this? Is there an app?

Something very sinister is going on and nobody appears to care. News

day about a man being arrested for filming himself chatting up women, which was described as 'predatory behaviour'! Somewhere they are quietly erecting the new gas chambers and we'll be the first cunts in them.

We've become a nation of SOFT CUNTS.

God help us when the Germans START AGAIN.
