• Roger Moore's ONE LUCKY BASTARD

Found an inexpensive copy of Moore's follow up to his autobiography My Word
Us Amy Bond, and I've been thoroughly enjoying it. I found MWIMB
unexpectedly dull, probably the result of Moore's having to rewrite most of
it from scratch after the original was lost. OLB is a loose collection of anecdotes, and it's riotously entertaining from start to finish. It's a
little like sitting next to Moore at a dinner party while he tells stories.
    Great fun.

Of course, it makes me wish even harder that he was still around. I have
very few heroes, but he was one of them.

I saw his one man show in Newcastle just a few weeks before he died. He was SUPERB.

Brian Blessed's autobiography 'Absolute Pandemonium' is a right laugh. Now THERE'S someone to go for a pint with. I once had the chance (when I worked with his niece) but couldn't go at the last minute for some reason.

I remember you posting about that. I was, and remain, jealous. In the
book he mentions how much he enjoys doing those kinds of things.
