Elizabeth Novak packed up her salon and moved out of Sacramento due to the mounting problems from homelessness in the California capital, and told
Fox News Monday the issue is “disheartening.”

The last time I was in Sacramento (1998) it sounded like a war zone after
the sun went down, with police sirens zooming by until nearly dawn.

After sunup, the blacks are all asleep and the white trash take over. I
never saw so many goddamn panhandlers in my fucking life. I mean I could not leave my motel room to go to the ice machine without some white-trash
dirtbag coming up to me and demanding spare change, a cigarette, or a ride. Security guards kept them off the property of the higher-end hotels, so
you'd see young, otherwise healthy White men and women standing on either
sides of the driveways holding up little signs saying, "Need money for diapers," etc. One morning I went into the motel office for the
complementary coffee, only to find the pot empty. Seems the desk clerk, a fuzzy-faced Baby Huey-type, had let the street people come in and drink it
all. When I complained, he shrugged and said, "This is Sacramento, man."
