A Good Account

"Enclosed are two checks: one, my
usual tithe, the second is the result of
obedience to God's law concerning
tithing. I began tithing last spring before
this time I was returning one tenth
of my net income. Within a few
days after I had mailed the tithe I received
a phone call from my former
employer. He wanted some work done
which only I could (or would) do. It
was arranged so that I could do the
work on my own time and at my own
convenience so as not to interfere with
my studies and homework (I am a student).
The money I received from this
additional work (work which I didn’t
ask for) made it possible for me to
attend the Feast of Tabernacles at
Squaw Valley. Furthermore, since returning
home from the Feast I have
received a raise in pay which now
makes it possible for me to keep a
second tithe (on student's pay). I
thought you might be interested to
learn of this, although I am sure you
know of many similar accounts."
