    ### - you did manage to get grinning tiger out of it though...

backed it myself @ 18/1 (which was then boosted to 21/1 by william hill)

so 100 on that would have paid ya 2,110 in whatever currency...

backed it for a fiver here so it only paid £110, which for moi still
represents around maybe 6 to 10 weeks of free bets, so that was cool...

they're very hard to get but just gots to love those outsiders innit heh...

    plus let's see if i can't get 3 or 4 of 'em today ;)

    ### - well, if that little lot (5 picks) all win today (and it's about
    bloody time they did! lol)

am gonna be taking the bookies to the proverbial cleaners haha! :)

a minimum payment of £157,720.02 being the result if all 5 cross the line
    in 1st place...

(haven't had 5-up in quite some time so it's about due)

i almost feel sorry for poor old william hill having to fork-out that
little lot lol, they's taking a huge risk compared to my couple of measly pounds stake :)))

but am gonna get those fuggers one day! ;)

what else can a poor boy do? ;)

act 'as if' it already happened.

better than acting like a loser.

singin' in the rain all the time

    ### - (smile...) winner/loser tomatoe/tamato? hehe...

unfortunately it's all an 'act' either way for poor old moi (laffing)

    i.e.,

"If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster and treat those two impostors
    just the same,"

then you are screwed my son when it comes to ever really believing in
    anything ever again! lol :)))

iow: it's all an act on my part either way me old mate...

and don't 'actually' give a flying rat's tutu about winning or losing ;)

what i get out of it being the daily challenge of facing the impossible,
of thus continually attempting to turn a molehill into a mountain for
real, with a teaspoon (there is no spoon?)

problem with the lottery being there's no skill in it?

the equivalent of picking 6-horses with a pin, no form or variables to consider, nada! iow: no involvement!

that at least with the horses there's an actual chance of getting it all
right, of the perfect storm occurring on the perfect day, and that thus
results in a one-time life-changing event that doesn't even really involve
the money in the final analysis but one's changed/trimmed inner self
    instead (kinda deep shit heh)

i.e., facing the impossibility of it and yet still diligently applying
oneself regardless to beat the odds, eventually has a very sobering effect
upon the mind; with no delusion of winning you still work away at it
trying to win, trimming the whatever-system (and yourself indirectly) in
the process; there's no surprise at losing only at winning hah! (which
does happen occasionally! but am used to losing, losing is easy! am great
at losing lol, just rolls-off like water off a duck's back! but how the
fuck am i ever gonna cope if it wins?? am not ready for that just yet
having not had much training in that dept lol....)

iow; it's how slider does his daily press-ups lol, a way for coming to
terms with the monstrous odds we all face on a daily basis that makes the lottery odds look like a childs toy, but never consciously nor
deliberately deal with otherwise because it's too scary & generally fucks
up all yer' plans if/whenever ya do lol ;)

next book: Zen and the art of gambling on the ponies :D :D :D

    ### - but it wasn't today jose haha; only 1 11/2 winner outta 5 was
    useless! (d'oh!)

at such low stakes (10p) ya needs at least 3-up to collect summat worth
having (that recent 2,450/1 treble that paid £245 for only 10p for
example, whoo-hoo! lol am i good or what?? no fecker ever gets that?!)

plus what a day it would have been had i been able to add just another
couple of winners to that little lot eh? (10's of grands minimum!)

i kinda figures it like playing on a one-arm bandit with 5 reels; 3-up
gets ya summat, 4-up a payout day, and 5-up wins the jackpot...

jackpots are rare but have had several low-paying versions over the years
+ am still waiting for my 'ship to come in' with a knockout win that rocks
    the proverbial boat haha...

it's not easy but the odds are still far-far better than the lottery...

what else can a poor boy do? ;)
