plus can't you do accumulators in the US?

i.e., pick 4 or 5 and put low bets on all the combinations of bets in
between?

e.g.,

pick 5 and there are:

5 singles
10 doubles
10 trebles
5 4-folds
1 accumulator

a total of 31 bets to cover them all (called a canadian of all things lol)

total bet costs: 3.10 @ 10c per bet

or if the odds are low: leave out the singles & doubles and bet how you
want...

e.g., 10 x 10c trebles, 5 x 50c 4-folds & a 50c each-way place accumulator
= $4.50

the higher the individual odds the less ya needs to bet on them etc...

or pick 4 horses =

4 singles
6 doubles
4 trebles
& 1 accumulator

it's only 11 bets if you leave out the singles (always make any single
bets separately anyway)

e.g.,

6 x 20c doubles
4 x 50c trebles
& 1 $50c each way accumulator

= $4.20

and 'coz a whole day's racing for only $4.20 ain't bad ;)

(accumulators don't win very often, but when it does it's usually well
worth having, best have ever had was a 4500/1 4-fold that paid £450.00 for
only 10p hah!)

It's just part of the art of making 'mountains outta' molehills' hehe ;)
