    Hi there everybody,

I have changed my ansimrd.ans but it doesn't show up in my BBS. Does anyone know what i am doing wrong or am i missing something? I mean ansimrd.ans is configured in the message base config.

    Regards,

    MaDDoG

There are two different readers in Mystic (the part where you are actually viewing the contents of a message).

One is a traditional message reader like classic BBS software used, and the other is one that allows you to scroll around the messages with your arrow keys.

Are you using the "full screen" reader ie the one where you can scroll around with arrow keys?

Hmmm. The only other thing I can think of is when you Log Onto your system, and in your settings (as a User [Account Settings]). Do you have your user
set up for Full Screen Editor ? If it's set up as Line Editor, or Non-Ansi, then the file will not be displayed...

Just a thought. I tried Loggin onto your BBS, but it would not connect...

    g00r00,

I am not aware of a full screen reader only awar of a full screen editor. I guess I am using the default when i press R to read messages. Dont know if it is the full screen reader. I think it is.

Ok. Well I am not sure why it would not be displaying that file then. Something you may want to ask either Avon (Paul) or g00r00 about then because it should be working...

I will also log on and check ...

    Gryphon,

I think i already said what it was but it was the message reader setting. I used full instead of standard. Setting it to standard did the job.
