My first thought was "My God, I'd have to go to the
store again?"
... that just seems odd. People actually enjoy that?
I think his point was more to the riding the Spider, but
still.
One of the first times I went out for dinner with my in-
laws, they just struck up a conversation with the table
next to us.
At first I wanted to melt into a puddle of embarrassment
under the table, but to my surprise they started talking
back! As the meal went on the other table would
occasionally talk to us and vice-versa.
This is something that I could never do, to the point it
would never occur to my mind as something TO do.
The whole idea of going to a restaurant is to be SEEN. ;) Once
there, it's an opportunity to meet new people.
But do you feel the same way at a restaurant today?
Sometimes we can learn and gain confidence by witnessing other people doing something and then we can say yeah it's not so bad to do that afterall.

I disagree.
Maybe it is a Spanish thing, but lots of business deals
are done in restaraurants and bars. They are a neutral
place in which you can sign a 1 year contract while
showing how big your wallet is by ordering premium
cuisine, I think.
Come to think of it, half my deals with providers and
customers have been done in a bar or restaurant.
But do you feel the same way at a restaurant today?
Yeah, I'd never just casually strike up a conversion with
just some rando. And if someone tries talking to me my
internal "Oh gawd! Another human being!" alarm goes off.
Just always kind of been that way. I was described as
"shy" as a kid, and I guess I just never grew out of it.

Yeah, the in-laws never rubbed off on me. He has a voice
that fills a room and loves chatting with anyone &
everyone. I do admire how he can "make friends" in any
given room/situation though.
... the whole point was to have an excuse for another
ride on the machine - if that would bring joy.
It looks interesting, maybe not for shopping thpugh.
Actually, while it's true introverted isn't the same as
antisocial, my personal preference is minimal social
activity face to face. It drains me too much.

I've seen motorcycles decked out with double side saddle
compartments and one right behind the driver. I am sure they
make them large enough for a 50lb bag of dog food. I've seen
Spyder pics that show trailers attached.

What an odd scenario... I'm more with Warp on this one.. I'll add an
extra few foibles though... find a table as far away from everyone else
as possible, only order food I know, cause I hate wasting money on some new fangled dish I end up not liking and barely add a grunt or mutter
to any conversation.... what do you want, to talk or to eat?
