• Nominating Nick Andre

From Carol Shenkenberger@1:275/100 to All on Tuesday, May 08, 2018 17:07:16
Hi all, will follow up with netmail. If he's willing, I think he'd be a good pick on the technical side. I don't think he can work D'Bridge withought being fairly conversant with the needs of other zones as well.

I second Nick's nomination. Netmail on it's way.

I got a slightly confusing note back on 1 vote per sysop (or course it's one vote per sysop) but nominations may be limited too? I didn't see that. Either way, thanks and I'm sure another will kick in for him.

    Grin, don't get stuck!

Maurice, mind sending a netmail to enforcer @1:128/2 for Nick Andre? It may take up your only nomination.

Of course, we all get just one vote in the end. That was automatically understood.

    Hey Carol!

Maurice, mind sending a netmail to enforcer @1:128/2 for Nick
    Andre?

I already did that but haven't gotten confirmation from the Enforcer yet.

It may take up your only nomination.

Not a problem. I still might have a second in reserve which I will use given a
    need for it.

Of course, we all get just one vote in the end.

    Understood.

    Life is good,

Mr Nick Andre is more than covered. No worries there.

I submittd my current count to be verfied before posting to make sure I am not missing anyone. There is concern that I am not seeing 100% of the postings.

    Thank you for your patience.

I haven't seen them. Maybe those "concerns" weren't stated publicly or maybe I
haven't gotten to them yet, what with all of the confusion I've waded through.

    Thank you for your patience.

    I'm almost a patient now. (-:

I understand the concern. Long ago I was linked to a site that didn't increment add to packets. They would build as many as 50 an hour and I'd come in once an hour to find the earlier traffic was over-written by their end. I could lose as much as 50% of the traffic in an hour in some echos.

*If* that may be related, it's workable. We setup an ancillary feed for you from a site that doesnt have that problem. It's tiering and you have to be careful to make sure your software does it well or you get a dupe-loop.

An alternative is a known good site to use an OLR with that has you turned on for the echo. Use it as a crosscheck then.
