The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 324, 325
continues.

SUMMARY...Southward-moving convective clusters and linear segments
will continue to pose a risk of large hail and damaging wind gusts
over the next few hours.

DISCUSSION...A couple of broken bands of convection have evolved
across the WW areas over the past hour or so - one from near EHA to
near AVK along the Kansas/Oklahoma border and a second band near PUB
eastward to near LAA. 7.5-8.0 C/km mid-level lapse rates are
continuing to support this activity despite nocturnally cooling
surface conditions. The storms are also approaching a residual
instability axis extending from the northern Texas Panhandle
east-southeastward into central Oklahoma. The instability/shear
combination will continue to support occasional 1+ inch hail, while
occasional damaging wind gusts will become likely as storms further
congeal and forward-propagate southeastward.

To the north of the Kansas/Oklahoma band of storms, substantial
convective overturning has resulted in stabilization of the airmass
across southwest Kansas. Portions of WW 324 may be cancelled before
the scheduled expiration time in these areas as a result.
