It's gotten to the point where if I hit the y key just
so, I may get an o - there must be some short circuit
going on under this keyboard. I do readily admit that
most of the short circuits are in my brain, though.
Not fun, no matter how you look at it.
    Eh, it's an adventure.
That's one way to look at it. (G)

If you don't think of it that way, that's
just depressing. One of the few cases in which
    I am the half-full guy.

I can't recall having had even 3/4 lb of meat, if even that much. In hot, humid weather, my consumption of heavier foods drops even
    lower.
I think the most I've ever comfortably eaten at one
reasonable sitting is a bit over 2 lb, but that's
    not a common thing.
I'd probably have stopped around the half pound mark, especially if
there was something else served with the meat.

Yesterday I had 10 oz, which was more than enough,
but that was probably because I'd salted the steak
    before grilling it.

That's sort of straw-manning it. As I said to
    Nancy, open-mindedness is incompatible with
empty-mindedness and can exist only in a setting
where facts are given first priority.
So keep an open mind about all of it.
    We're trying.
Just be careful of what falls in while it's open. (G)

Eh, it's reasonably full of good stuff to
    start with.

    Double-Header Chili
A no-fuss feast taht makes 2 meals, with or without beans.
    Sounds good to me.
We went to a Mexican place today but neither of us had any beans. I had
a good (translated) land and sea; Steve had a mixed chicken and beef
fajita bowl. Both of us brought home left overs.

Sounds good - I read elsewhere about the contents of
your dish - most of it I'd go with; you can guess
    what I'd have had omitted.

    Hi Michael,

so, I may get an o - there must be some short circuit
going on under this keyboard. I do readily admit that

Better to look at it with a positive point of view than a negative one.

Hitting too close to your limit on sodium for the day? I'll have to
remember to make sure to watch the (small) amount of salt I use in
    cooking in September.

OK, just don't let the nooks and crannies get over filled with junk
    stuff.

I know, you wouldn't have liked the squash. It went well in the mix, not
really overly "squash-y" taste. The serving was good sized; I probably
could have made 3 meals of it instead of the 2 (plus giving some of the
rice to Steve) that I did.
