Probably worthwhile to stop in a Wegmans when you are near one,
to update your address, then... or maybe set up an account on
the website, and do it there... ;) You'll need the online
account to snip the digital coupons, anyway... ;)
Might be worth looking into, especially since they are coming
    to the area.
    That's what I was figuring... :)
For the few times we use it in NY or elsewhere, it might not be
as useful. But to get coupons.................

So, another thing to add to my 'round tuit list. (G)

    Or to Steve's 'roundtuit.... :)

Even for the few times you use it in NY, the coupons would be
handy... and with a smartphone such as you have, you'd be able
to access the website right in the store, too...

True, I have accessed web sites in stores (and other "odd" places)
with the phone. Helps sometimes as a quick quilting tutorial so
someone can see what I'm talking about.

Wegmans encourages it... suggests you have an electronic list... when
you clip the digital coupon, you can add it (or any of the choices for
it) to your list at the same time... :)

So you'll really want one of them to be actually in Wake
    Forest... :)
That would be nice but saw someone on the Next Door forum today
complaining that there are too many grocery stores in town.
They just don't know Wegmans.. (G)
    Apparantly not.
Give them a few weeks shopping a Wegmans, and I bet they change
their tune in a hurry... :)

Maybe so. Depends on what kind of shopping they do. Those that run in, grab without looking closely, pay and run out, don't appreciate stores like Wegman's.

True... But most that do that aren't likely to worry about having too
    many stores in town... ;)

It's a family owned store, and so they want to make sure that
things work out right for themselves and the new customers...
and encourage the new staff to feel like family from the
    beginning... :)
    Good company to work for.
It is.. :) And has been recognized as such for at least a
decade... turning up in the top 10 (usually #1 or #2) of the
best companies to work for... :)
I've seen the recognition various times in the business section
    of the newspaper.
That should help them get good workers when they start hiring
from the area for the new stores... :)

If those that apply take their time to research the company instead of "hey, job fair, let's go see if we get hired with no decent resume or whatever" plan of attack.

I'm sure that if there's a job fair situation, Wegmans won't be slow to
    toot their own horn... ;)

    Hi Nancy,

Catch him when he's not working on another project. (G)
Or can take a break from a project... ;)

I've got to let him have some down time. (G) Seriously, I'll try to remember to have it done before we head north again.

At least by then... :) Better to have it already in place when you
    get back up here... :)

If we keep talking about it, I'll get it done...........at some point in
    the not too distant future.

I make a list of what we've clipped, including which items
each coupon covers and the amount off, and the expiration date
for each list... then I check when we get home to make sure
that they all were picked up by the register at checkout for
    anything I bought...
    Smart thinking.
    I thought so... (G)

We have an app on our phones so we don't have to carry a wad of the plastic loyalty cards which can break, fall off, etc. Just have to
pull it up, have the bar code scanned and sales, etc are automtically registered.

I've seen that sort of thing... With your phones, you'd be able to
pull up the website to see which coupons you'd clipped, and exactly
    which
products they cover... so you'd not have to go through the steps I
do... It also shows when you've used the coupon... we've seen that
when we go back to the website to clip more coupons... :)

So well worth looking into. Since we shop any and everywhere now, I
don't use as many coupons as I did when I did most of my shopping at the commissary. I'd always have a number that were only good there among
things I bought regularly; now I can't use those coupons. Still, a
dollar here and there does help save on basics.

They might still get a glimmer of appreciation for the
Wegmans... they do put quick necessities at the front of the
store, particularly milk and OJ... also snacky type foods...
    (G) RH>> Set the hook and reel in the fish.
Probably more just a willingness to accomodate customers... ;)

More likely, and probably get a lot of new customers that appreciate
    the convenience.

Probably... as well as being convenient for regular customers that
just need something quick between shopping trips, too... :)

We do a lot more of the "in for a few things" type shopping now. (G)

Most people don't worry about it... ;) Just have to consider it
a NB>> meal, and hope that it was reasonably well balanced over all..
;) NB>> For special events, Wegmans will have lots of demo
    stations....
more often it's just a few throughout the store... and sometimes
    there aren't any... :)

Most stores seem to do them on week ends. Lowe's and Harris Teeter
don't really go for them, Food Lion just opened up a new store (much
nicer than the old one!) and do a few, but not a lot. Wouldn't be surprised if they're discontinued after a few months tho.

I guess time will tell... :)

Probably so. We've been out there a few times but it's not that
convenient for us compared to our usual run around route. Have to go to
Raleigh next week so may hit up Costco, Whole Foods and Trader
    Joe's--one or all 3.

We do quite a bit of it--made dessert for this week's LG meal since

cheese, graham crackers (found a natural one) "cool whip"--found one
without all the added junk--strawberry jello (same as "cool whip") and
fresh strawberries. It went over BIG! I might make it for the next
picnic. Now we have to pick up some odds and ends for the trip.

Have to get my ID card renewed, easier to do it at the National Guard
facility there than to go down to Fort Bragg. Costco and TJs are a
couple of blocks apart, near where the Wegman's is to go up. WF is

But we've got a big trip between now and then.

We can still be talking about it here when you get back from your
    trip, I'm sure... ;)

Possibly so. Went by the site of the Wegman's to be in Raleigh today.
Right now it's just a lot of dirt and machinery, getting the site
cleared and leveled I guess. But, the big fence surrounding it did
advertise Wegman's so I guess it's a sure thing now.

Yes, especially when the something new is a bit more than you would pay
for old faithful. I got some All Free and Clear laundry pods today--saw
that Tide has a dye/perfume free one out also. But, Tide pods were about
29.5 cents each, All were 24.5 so...................

It's just as easy for us to get what we need as we need for some things. Others, I'll buy in a large enough amount to last for a while; that's

Usually every 4 years but since I'm hitting a certain birthday this

expired last year on the normal cycle so they renewed it then for the
short term to make sure I came in this year.
