I think I'll stick to espresso shots though.
    Pick your own poison.
Beats the ones the medical profession gives me. Cheaper too.
If it works even in a symptomatic way, all
the better. It wouldn't be likely to work
    for me.
Most of the drugs they give me either don't work, or do damage and
    don't work. Which figures.

Have you discussed this issue with your doctors?

Grammatically most likely. But schmuck is
intrinsically male, whereas the other two are
conceptually neutral (and, further, you can
have a schlemiehle or a schlimmazele but
presumably not a schmucke except by a major
stretch - word 1 means prick as in the family
jewels context, and the other two mean goofball
and hard-luck, which are not so gender-specific.
I've never seen any of the three refer to a female however. The

Women don't drop things and have them land on
    other women, apparently.

maleness is implied and tradition is tradition.

I'm playing that damned song this week.

Depends on the rabbi, and the congregation. Smart ones admit to
    not
    knowing some of the answers.
They probably have the littlest congregations.
    Or the largest.

Does Judaism reward honesty in that way?
That's wonderful. Makes one almost want to
    be Jewish.

    Well, try that minister then.
I generally start with the Source. Works better.
No point trying to convince us that. Look
at this phooey world. Offtopic, too.
    Never stopped anyone before.

    It should now.

    the papers' testimony is relevant.
If only a piece of the story.
Sadly, for most of us it's all the story we
    can get.
I could tell you where to start, but ...offtopic alert.

Every source I've found has either the secondhand
issue or the falsehood issue or both.

When success is measured only in terms of the
next profitable quarter, that's what happens.
It generates some awfully dumb decisions. I know a lot of
    corporations like that.

    Bunches of 'em.

So the question is is rhinestone a cultural/racial
slur, though one sanctified by centuries of use, like
    Welsh rabbit or Danish pastry.
Rhinestones can be fat bank; that tends to negate any bad overtones.
The original quartz bits came from the Rhine Valley, so it's just a reference to their origins. The glass ones came later. French jet on
the other hand might well be prejudicial; it's glass as opposed to
    real jet.

I've not been on a real jet in over a week.

We do, but we apologize and help clean up ... and try not to do it
    repeatedly.

Kind of hard to avoid the former when you're 2000 years removed from
    events. Or even two years.

    Many with government contracts.
