I'm almost willing to apply the equal and
opposite reaction law from physics to
    everything else as well.
I'm not quite to that point yet... :)

As with the below, your basis is faith.
Though my ethics are similar to yours,
I have none of that other stuff.

effect is positive. By my way of thinking,
every good deed is balanced out by something
bad, perhaps on the other side of the world,
perhaps in your neighborhood. It is ardently
to be hoped that the good will overbalance,
but the chance of it winning in a rout are
    slim and none.
My response to that, as you might guess, falls outside the limits of
what the rules allow... I don't expect human good to overbalance, but
in the long run, Good will overcome.... and I'll not go into it further, unless you ok... ;)

Not in my lifetime, and we can dance around this
topic forever; I'm not bothered just so nobody
seriously brings up the G word.

I wonder why cars get citrusy. Was one of the
workers on the line drunk or something on the day
    it was made?
We wondered about that issue, but never had a proper answer... it
appeared to be partly poor manufacture, but also a bit of poor design...
It had problems with leaking water in around the windshield from just
about the very day we picked it up from the dealer's... and it was
    bought as a brand-new car....

Did the not completely reliable but it's all
we have Consumer's Reports say anything about
    the issues?

Plus the nutrients in mushrooms are harder to
get, because of their cell structure.
Better as an adjunct, than as the main attraction... ;)
Most of us get enough nutrition without
having to try to rely on mushrooms.
Exactly, so we can just enjoy them as mushrooms... ;)

We can enjoy iceberg lettuce in the same
    way ... oh, wait ... .

... Technically horrible stuff, but somehow very tasty.

There are all kinds of such. Some are nutritional
    nightmares as well.

    Snickerstickers
categories: candy, dessert, fried, nutritional nightmare
    yield: 1 batch

round egg roll wrappers, one per
Mini Snickers (1", not Fun Size), one per
    oil for frying
    powdered sugar for sprinkling

In a medium nonstick pan, heat up 2 tb oil.

Place one mini Snickers in the center of
an egg roll wrapper. Wet the edges of the
wrapper with water, and gently seal the
    edges VERY well.

Place them flat side down into the oil.
Cook them just until the bottoms turn
golden brown. Then pour in 1/4 c water,
and cover with a lid for 1 min.

Remove from the pan, and let cool a bit.
Sprinkle them with some powdered sugar.
