Then you get really cranky, no doubt.
    Understatement.
    Not nice to be around?
Occasionally not. Messing with me sometimes is not a good idea.

Almost makes it sound worth the challenge.

How often have you seen a decently designed
car park? Or a decent-sized one at that?
Makes one wonder about architects in general.
You have to wonder about their sanity and sense of what really works.

As I've said, even the students at the bottom
of their architecture school class have to
    find jobs someplace.

Grandpa found a bakery to buy.
Ah, baked goods in Jersey City. That would
    make the place less malodorous.
This was the mid-1930s, so conditions were somewhat different.

Better? I've always been skeptical of that
part of New Jersey that is within sight of
Manhattan. Well, to tell the truth, all of
    New Jersey.

Well, think about it. The Texas Roadhouse chain
    is from Indiana.
    I don't eat there either.
    It's generally worthwhile for beefeaters.
I'd try it if there were one handy, but chains don't get me
    interested in road trips.

This is a relatively benign chain.
Independent steakhouses these days are few
and far between and bizarrely overpriced.

    Title: Manhattan Clam Chowder
    Categories: Soups, Shellfish

onion is tender. Drain clams, reserving liquid. Add clam liquid,
potatoes, water and celery to pork and onion. Cook until potatoes are
tender, about 10 minutes. Add clams, tomatoes (with liquid) and the

Probably not wise. Messing with me also pulls in my sister, and
nobody in their right minds wants that. Especially me.

And then you have people who buy 'design something' software ... and
    proceed to confusion.

At the time yes. Newark was a nice working class area about 20 years
before that. Some of those areas are now gentrifying as people are
    escaping Manhattan rents.

I tend not to eat steak out. Saves grief. And my wallet.
