Yeah I forgot about that "buttery spread" you see at places like KFC,
et. al. :) Usually when Ron and I have to go to Binghamton to our GP
(OMG it's like 45min. away ... I guess were old and would rather stay
put haha). We'll grab something for dinner since there are only
certain hours we can do such things, end of the day, etc. and dealing
with the whole dr. visit thing, getting ready, getting out the door, coming back ... and it's dinnertime is big drag :) So we'll pick up
some KFC. And they throw in those rolls. And that "buttery spread" stuff... so inadverntantly I guess I _do_ buy margerine ...but I don't remember the last time I ate one of those rolls, nevermind that uh
    stuff on it. :)

Nah... you aren't buying the margarine, it's being tossed in gratis...
and no one says you have to use it... ;) I thought that KFC still uses biscuits, not rolls... but those are brushed on top with their "buttery
    spread" anyway... :)

I definitely cooked too much. We started with homemade Ravioli and Marinara sauce (about 4-5 each) and spinach/beet green salad (beet
greens from my aerogarden). Then we ate turkey, gravy, stuffing, sweetpotatoes with marshmellows (I can't resist LOL), spaghetti squash with butter and salt, mashed white potatoes and greenbean casserole.
For dessert we had too many cakes and pies Lol..
Was a great Thanksgiving dinner.. :)

I went to my sister's on Friday (she did it then since all her kids were heading off on Thursday to be with their respective inlaws)... The kids
brought some things to add to the feast... We started with cheese and
crackers (Breton crackers, fresh mozzarella slices, and a couple of
kinds of sharp cheddar slices). We had two turkeys, one that my sister
baked as normal in the oven, and the other her oldest daughter's husband deep-fried outdoors... And then there was stuffing from the bird, and
stuffing not from the bird (for the vegetarians present), gravy, mashed
white potatoes, baked sweet potatoes, fresh steamed broccoli, and
cranberry sauce. Also, her oldest had brought over some rice and beans
with salsa, sent over by her mother-in-law. And her oldest son brought
a family tradition, a three-layered jello dish... the colors of the
jello change by the holiday... this one was pinkish red and yellow-orange
with a cream layer with pineapple bits in it... For Christmas it would
be red and green, for the 4th of July it would be red and blue.... :)
And then there were the pies, made by Lydia and some of her girls...
Pecan, pumpkin, tart cherry, butterscotch and lemon-lime meringue... and
Lydia whipped up some heavy cream to top them with... :)
Lots of food left over, of course... and some got sent home with
    guests... ;)
