From MICHAEL LOO@1:123/140 to NANCY BACKUS on Tuesday, May 01, 2018 08:35:30
It is gross, but normal... for me it's more likely to happen if I'm blowing my nose, though.... :)
Yeah, the pressure tries to escape from
    interesting places.
    Indeed.

Pressure always tries to escape from
interesting places, take it from someone
who has eaten ice cream on airplanes.

Does that make us more special or less
special than cats? Depends on whom you
ask, presumably - the humans or the cats.
Yeah... the cats are likely to protest that they are the special ones... but then they'd do that anyway... ;)
What do they say, the dog sees God in his master,
    the cat in the mirror.
Yup... seems rather accurate, too... ;)

How cats came to figure out that mode of
self-preservation is perhaps a subject for
    a number of doctoral theses.

There appears to be an uptick in genius behaviors
by critters; whether they're getting that much
smarter that quick or if the availability of such
tools as cellphone cameras is just making it seem
    that way is not clear.
I'd tend to think that it's being more noticed and passed along with the ready availability of the cellphone cameras and textability...

It is in our best interest to quash such
    behaviors.

    I did see two squirrels
taking turns rolling an orange across the driveway
recently. When approached they panicked and (no
doubt temporarily) abandoned their swag at least
until we were out of the picture.
Interesting behaviour... :) I'm sure they went back later to retrieve their swag.... :)

Well, it started rolling down the hill and
came to a stop a good distance down the way.
The question here is which behavior would show
more intelligence - going down to fetch the
wayward orange and rolling it back home or
ignoring it and trying to find another one
    more conveniently situated.

I sometimes wonder if I had it myself.
Likewise... especially since I tend to stay sub-acute... and go quietly chronic..... Someone was just saying that she apparently tested positive for Lyme, but never saw the bullseye pattern show up, though she remembered a sharp pain on her ankle at one point...
If it were the back of the ankle, no one might have
seen it. My friend Bonnie's equally serious lesion
wasn't noticed until she went on the beach during
her Florida vacation, and her daughters found it.
The doc said that her kids saved her life.
Good thing that they noticed it... :)

    I certainly wouldn't have.

Ah. Email received... I might get to it before leaving tomorrow
    morning
for this years Ladies Retreat in Pittsfield MA (coming home Sat evening)... :) Trying to get caught up in Fido first... :)
    Good set of priorities.
Thank you for the vote of confidence... ;) Almost caught up from being away, but that will probably not happen for another night... ;)
And, as you can see, dropped behind again as well... Brother Rob was in
town for us to work on more estate business, and we spent many intense
hours over the course of almost a week getting the accounting into a
proper statement to go to the heirs and then the court... not finished
yet, but much closer... A bigger job than we'd thought until we got into
it, but not really a surprise....

    Life intrudes sometimes.

It couldn't be anything but total conjecture on the part of the
    scholars... ;)

And how do you propose to do that...? ;)

Good question... it might depend on how likely it would be to find
    another one conveniently... ;)

I sometimes wonder if I had it myself.

Was it in some location she'd not normally be able to see for
herself...? Unless it were itchy in that case, I doubt I'd've been
aware of such if it were I... :) It's been properly excised now...?

And, as you can see, dropped behind again as well... Brother Rob was in town for us to work on more estate business, and we spent many intense

It does indeed... I've had one thing after another lately... maybe
things will be more manageable for a while now... ;)
