pictures... ;) anymore than her sister did... ;)
Don't know, there may be some on their phone cameras that we've not
seen of kids with a gap in their teeth.
Probably are.... or already transfered to some more permanent
location... ;)
have plenty left to mix in the milk... ;)
Then too, the pond was not your year round home.
No, it wasn't... and we weren't lucky enough to find a similar
arangement locally.... certainly enjoyed it when up to camp,
though...
The away from home treat to be looked forward to whenever you went to
the camp. (G)
Yup... pretty much... ;)
We were still in NC, pre Army days, living on next to nothing
so anything we could do to save money was done. We were (and
still technically are,) members of a natural foods co-op so I
did some of the bookkeeping to reduce the cost for us a bit.
That was a good tradeoff... How far away from you now is the
co-op...?
If it's still going, it's down on the coast, about 2 1/2-3 hour's
drive from here. Don't know if it is still around or if it folded after
we moved on.
Probably too far away to even want to check to see if they're still going... let alone try to become active there again... I thought I remembered that where you were before was a little ways anyway from
where you are now in WF...
They don't have it on display....? and you just ask for, say,
two strip steaks....? Can't you ask to see it before they wrap
it up...?
It's all pre wrapped, frozen. You ask for whatever, they will bring it
out and ask if it's OK. If so, it's rung up, if not, you decline.
Ah... Have you actually tried any of it yet...? If it's really good,
not having the choice might not be that much of a drawback....
We got some beets, habenero peppers, purple long beans, turnips,
sweet and red potatoes today at the market. Also got a couple of
savory empanadas and cinnamon rolls. Had to restock the kitchen. (G)
After all, you've been away... and had to clean things out before leaving... ;)
peppers plus a couple of onions did take some time. But, it made
for a good chili.
Does sound like it should have made a good chili, indeed... :)
But I think you should have put on the brace before you did that
part, too..... :)
I know, I was better today. Wore it to the market and then for the
next couple of hours while making a double & half batch of broccoli
salad for tomorrow's church picnic.
Much better.... And did it all disappear as usual....? ;)
There'll probably be a next time all the same... :) And the
team will value your services all the more for your having to
sit out a year... :)
May skip 2 years--Steve wants to drive to Alaska (with the
camper, of course).
You wouldn't be doing that next year instead of helping out at
VT...?
No, if the knee is done in the next 6 months or so, I'd be
rehabbing it instead of going to VT next summer. The Alaska trip
would be summer of 2020.
Ah... that would put you out for 2 years.... By then, they'll
probably be clamoring for your return to the cooking... ;)
Probably so, guess I'll have to give the recipe to whoever will be cooking.
And see if they can make things the same way.... :)
The fall informational "see who's interested" meeting is on
the 28th; I'm pretty sure we will not attend.
No point in even going to that meeting since you are pretty sure you
won't be able to go this next time....? No point in getting their
hopes up....?
