1 ds Bolthouse Farms "Berry Boost" smoothie
What te heck is this last?
Well Bolthouse Farms is a company that puts out good quality blends
of fruit juices, about 25% tastier than most supermarket brands for
just double the price. Their Berry Boost one is a blend of apple,

    Ah, the pesky apple.

blackberry, elderberry, raspberry, boysenberry, strawberry, and

Sounds not offensive, but a quick eyeball of the
Internet reveals that the company was behind the
marketing of "baby carrots" (sort of bad) and is a
subsidiary of the Campbell soup company (very dubious).
It may be pointed out that purity in eating is next to
impossible - even if you grow your own produce, where
    does your fertilizer come from?

blueberry juices. I'm sure you know what a smoothie is; they take
lovely juice cocktails and make them thick, cloudy and unpleasant
with fruit and nut purees and mashed bananas.

Yes, and often yogurt as well. A pox on them.

You once mentioned trying martinis with a dash of bitters. That
turns out to be a thing, with its own name ...

When I am in a house with bitters, I occasionally
experiment with them or have them experimented on me.
Some of the results have been pleasant enough, if the
additions are not too generous; none have been
sufficiently compelling to make me want to run off
    and buy a bottle, though.
