    This is the text that I'd lost -
    At Rosemary's I used mustard that had been bought
    (and opened) for a party in 2005. This was noted
    because the party was for the inaugural concert
    of a group called Tres Moutarde (doggy French that
    doggily translated into "(You can't have) too much
    mustard"); at this party were 10 different kinds
    of mustard served, some of which persist in her
    fridge today, though that may change, as she's
    having her kitchen redone this summer.

    Especially when they saw where the art was taking me. Didn't go the
    drawing and painting route (except for one class) but have done well
    with needle and thread.

    Again, speaking of honorability, I applaud
    those whose talent (though almost always
    considerable) isn't such that they can cruise
    through a course of study.
    It's hard to cruise thru something like a voice major when you have a
    good, but not great voice. Also hard to cruise thru academics when you
    have to work hard for decent grades.

    Some of the greatest performing singers have
    crummy voices, making do with intelligent
    scholarship and musicianship. These are not
    the ones with the huge marquee careers, but
    real connoisseurs of music appreciate them.

    I've not reached that point yet.
    It's amusing if/but nothing else.
    Does she carry snacks in oe of the bags? I think the closest thing to
    food I carry is usually sugar free breath mints. (G)

    No snacks that I know of. Imodium though.

    I have a certain number of Hilton points
    that could get tossed into the pot - not so
    many as before, because I got accommodations
    for a couple friends visiting me when I was
    in ICU in January.
    I'm sure we'd all work something out.

    If it happens, I'll do my part.

    Chicken enchilada soup
    Looks good--I'm sure we could use flour tortilla strips instead of corn,
    if we didn't leave them out altogether.

    Then it wouldn't be enchilada soup. Putting
    tortillas in everything was all the rage a
    couple decades ago. I agree that leaving out
    the tortillas wouldn't damage the dish at all.
    One could substitute noodles or, perhaps
    better, omit the starch.

    Title: Tortilla Soup (Sopa De Tortilla)
    Categories: Mexican, Appetizers, Soups/stews
    Yield: 8 servings

    6 Six inch corn tortillas 2 cn Chicken Broth Cond.
    10 3/4
    1/4 c Vegetable oil -oz
    1/4 c Water 1 cn Water, in soup can
    1 md Tomato, quartered 1/4 ts Ground Coriander
    1 Onion, cut in quarters 1/4 ts Salt
    1 Garlic clove 1/8 ts Pepper

    Servings: 8

    Sprig mint (optional) Jack / Cheddar Cheese Grated

    Cut tortillas into 1/4 inch strips. Heat oil in 10-inch skillet until
    hot.
    Fry 1/4 of the tortilla strips at a time over medium heat, stirring
    occasionally, until crisp and brown, about 3 minutes. Drain on paper
    towels.

    Place 1/4 cup water, the tomato, onion and garlic in blender container.
    Cover and blend on high speed until smooth. Heat tomato mixture, chicken
    broth, 1 can water, the coriander, salt, pepper and mint sprig to boiling
    in a 3 quart saucepan. Cook uncovered for 3 minutes. Sprinkle each
    serving
    with cheese and tortilla strips.

    different path & I'd probably not be typing to you.

    Just read an article in the N&O aabout an opera singer who drove trucks
    and was a bounty hunter type guy before going into a music career.
    Thought he wasn't good enough to make a go of it at first.

    Meds are sometimes neccessary to carry. Also helps for some diabetics to
    carry a quick sugar hit like hard candy.

    Something to consider. We might hunt up a campground or place willing to

    We had tortilla soup for the first time at a hole in the wall Mexican
    place in Tombstone. It was before we started putting 2 & 2 together
    about Steve's migraines and corn--but we did enjoy the soup.
