Did a blueberry yum yum on Saturday, baked the crust in the
new toaster oven (it's also a convection/regular oven). Good,
but I like the strawberry version better.
Is that the blueberry dessert you were telling Michael you
made with strawberry jello..? If so, maybe it would have been
more yummy done with blueberry jello instead... :)
Yes, it was the recipe and I just used the jello I had on hand.
My friend Bonnie says that peach and blueberry is
one of her favorite combinations. She made her first
ever from scratch pie not long ago (having been
tutored in the arcane art of crust making by her
daughter and a family friend), and it was peach-
blueberry. I had a slice; it was pretty good. Next
day I had a second slice - it was still pretty good.

That does sound good... :) I did suggest to Ruth a while back that the
combo could be a possibility for her experiments with the yum yums, but
she said, no, one or the other.... :)

In that case, I bet it would have been better with blueberry jello to
not clash with the blueberries... ;)
Of course, they don't offer blueberry Jell-O
any more - there is Berry Blue (raspberry and
    blueberry) and sometimes pomegranate-blueberry.
Anyone's guess on whether either of these would
    be more appropriate than strawberry.

They both have some blueberry in them... so I'd think so. :) She was
the one that decided that blueberry made with strawberry jello wasn't as
yummy as strawberry made with strawberry jello, hence my suggestion... :)

Peach will come after the trip to VT.
It'll be interesting to see how that one turns out... :)
    Can't see where it wouldn't. (G)
Use peach or apricot jello for that one... :)
Contrast isn't the same as clash, and similarly
to my earlier suggestion, peach Jell-O would go
in a lot of nonpeachy situations, and pomegranate-
blueberry might do well with peaches.

It might well.. :) That might be an interesting picnic experiment...
pairing different fruits with same/similar taste jellos and then with contrasting taste jellos... make little tarts instead of one big
    dessert...?
