others didn't have the appeal that the bbq place did.
Small rodeo so not many trucks to choose from, but we did
    well with what we picked.
Sounds like... :) I suppose another rodeo might have some
other trucks, so you might have others to choose from... :)
Hopefully so. It was quite hot out there so not too many people
yet (and we were on the early side of the hours posted). Maybe
more came as the afternoon wore on.
At least one wouldn't have to heat up the kitchen... (G)

True--we got the sandwiches (on big buns) to go; they were still warm
when we got home. (Home was only a few blocks away.)

    Quite convenient, too... :)

get VBS craft projects pulled together over the week end.
And soon enough, you'll have another stack waiting for you, when
    you return from VT... :)
    Not nearly so many.
    True, it's a much shorter trip... ;)

About half the length of the first one. We're going to stay up in NY
after the picnic to try to visit family so that trip will probably end
up about the same length also.

Adds up to a lot of traveling... :)

Since we do VBS outside, we won't have to worry about making
a mess. If it rains, we have to meet inside, I'll have to
re-juggle the crafts so as not to make a mess.
Hopefully it will be good weather all week....

So far, in 3 years, we've had only one rain relocation. Last year the
rain held off until we just finished packing up the van on the last
    day.

    That was good timing.... ;)

    ... I haven't lost my mind...it's backed-up somewhere!

Finding that somewhere is the challenge tho. (G)

    True... ;)

    guess... :)

We're having some warm (upper 80s/low 90s) temps, very humid tho. This area has had a lot of rain; we've seen rivers (Delaware, Susquehanna,
etc) up quite high. Good for the crops to a certain extent, bad if it keeps up.

Yup... we got a lot of rain in the last week... the vegetation really
did need it, but I'm quite thankful that today is sunny... and even
more so that it is cool and reasonably non-humid... highs today only predicted for low 70s... :)

We've had hot, humid and wet since getting home. The kind of weather
that just drains you if you're outside for more than a few minutes.
Typical August but temps haven't gotten to/over 100 yet this summer, a
    small blessing.
