I will be asking for help as needed, most likely... :) Just remembering
that it could be an undertaking... (G) In the meantime, I intend to see

    Just bear it in mind.

if Fords can at least be involved in helping to pick places to visit,
whether sightseeing or restaurants... with the locus southeast of
Rochester, we may be able to find places between Bloomfield and Newark
that would fit the bill nicely... :)

They're pretty wine-oriented, and this trip we
may have a substantial nondrinking contingent.
But if they have any interesting G-rated
    suggestions, that would be great.

Homewood? The Garden Inn is cheaper; the Hampton
almost reasonably priced (151++ a night).
Yes, I think Homewood Garden Suites... and also Hampton Inn and
Suites... Those are the ones he stays at.... I haven't really much other knowledge about them...

As it seems there will be ample accommodations,
I'm not thinking about it for a while, but I'd
guess that our "overflow" will be at the Hampton.

    Tomato and Orange Soup
    categories: fruit, starter
    servings: 6

    2 lb ripe tomatoes or
    - 2 1/2 c canned plum tomatoes with their juices
    1 Tb unsalted butter
    1/2 c minced onion
1 c chicken or vegetable stock
    3/4 c fresh orange juice
2 Tb thinly sliced mint or basil leaves
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
    h - Optional garnish
    thin orange slices
    halved cherry tomatoes
    sprigs of mint or basil

If using ripe tomatoes, wash, core and cut them into chunks,
    reserving any juice.

In a wide nonreactive saucepan or skillet, melt the butter,
then stir in the onion and the fresh or canned tomatoes and
their juices. Cook over medium heat for 2 min. Add the stock,
cover and simmer gently for 15 min. Remove from heat, and
puree in a food processor or put through a food mill. Stir
in the orange juice and mint or basil. Season to taste with
salt and pepper. Cover, and chill 3 hr or overnight.

To serve, ladle into bowls and, if desired, garnish with an
orange slice or cherry tomatoes and a sprig of mint or basil.

Not sure where the closest one of those is, I know of the one in
Henrietta... but there may be one in Victor or Canandaigua... But we may
    not need that anyway... :)
